River Recipe – Add Wolves
I hope you are all enjoying your snow days! In case you’re bored, here’s a wonderful video for you to watch.
As soon as I finished watching it, I thought of you! It made me think about how all life is incredibly interconnected. While this is a true story concerning the healing of our somewhat broken planet, it made me think about how everyone of us has a job to do. I’m not necessarily talking about a job you get paid to do, although it could apply. How do the things we do, the places we live and visit, and the people we interact with everyday affect others?
If you’d rather respond to the video based on the effect the wolves had on their habitat, that’s great, too! Either way, comment on this post and then write your own blog post on the concept of the interconnection all living beings share.
Wow so true it’s amazing how we are all interconnected! It’s also kinda funny for me because of what our strengths are. Like as an example, William is really good at revising and I’m pretty good at writing, so if we were to work together on a paper, we might get an “A”.
Last year at my 5th grade winter party we all made blankets for people across the world to keep them nice and warm, it was a lot of fun!
I would never think that wolves are good for the environment. I always thought of them as mean animals that eat other pore animals. Now I like wolves a little bit more.
the wolves scared the deer away from certain places which allowed the vegetation to grow back witch is good.
witch??? Like in harry potter???
I you think about it some of the smallest actions to great thing just like the way we live just maybe giving something to someone might change everything everything does something no matter how big or how small
Sort of like if you think you are just a drop in the ocean and that it doesn’t make a difference if you are there. But if you aren’t there then that ocean would be less.
The wolves kept the deer away from the park so that people can see the park’s beauty and help the vegetation grow more so we can have more plants.
Wow! I never realized that everything could be so interconnected FROM WOLVES! Even though those animals are dying and is very sad, its basically getting rebirth to other species. I guess its the circle of life…
Wow that is interesting, although most of it I didn’t understand. It still seemed pretty cool!
i liked the wolves for saving the wild life although they killed the deer but i also think that when all the animals came down that it was a very special site to watch as they came down
I thought that this video was amazing! To me, this video taught me that every animal and human being can take part in this world.
Truly amazing, to see how these wolves can change their community by in a way training other animals to do specific things. And bring other animals and life around them
Wow, the wolves did change alot in the ecosystem. I think that it was fascinating. It was very cool to watch.
Wow that is truly amazing. Who knew such an animal like the wolves could change the geography of an amazing place like Yellow Stone National park!
Wow, I did not realize that wolves of all animals are that important to the world. I seriously need to get people to champion the cause of wolves. 😉
The wolves made rivers and habitats more lively places, and that’s good for the world and nature. If there were way more wolves, the world would be a better place.
It is so amazing how creatures can change the environment and the geography. It also shows we should look at the positive sides nor the negative side. Especially when there are more positive stuff.
My cousins and I sold all our toys that we don’t play with anymore. We got up to $350.00 and donated it to a Charity. It felt great to help people!
that’s cool i can’t believe that the wolves had that big of an impacted on the environment. I wonder if other animals and people can have that effect on the environment.
I thought it was an amazing video and I never knew wolfs helped our Earth like that!
Last year, just before we got Winter Break, we watched a movie, while making thick blankets for those affected by Hurricane Sandy!
that’s cool i can’t believe that the wolves had that big of an impacted on the environment. I would have never thought that any animal could have that wonderful effect on a place
It’s very interesting because when humans see wolves I think there immediate reaction is o my gosh ahhh kill it kill it but what wolves are actually like seen in this video there are a huge part in helping our environment grow
This video was very interesting. It taught me that everybody has their role to play in this world. It is awesome that just wolves changed the entire physical geography of the Yellow Stone National Park
I think this video was really cool! It shows how wolves effect our ecosystem very well. I did not know that they were very important to the ecosystem.
DAT. IS. AWESOME!!!!! I knew I had made a good choice when I made wolves (and dragons) my favorite animal, but i didn’t know they could do SO MUCH!!! THAT IS SO COOOOOL!!! I think that it just shows that if we add more wolves (and maybe dragons) to our ecosystems, it will help A TON!!! But anyway, this video was really cool and it made me look at life a little (not much) differently… very cool and interesting
That’s really cool how the wolves changed all of the environment from doing one thing! I never knew about how the land was all dry and dead until then!
Wow really? Wolves could do that just by killing a few deer? That is truly amazing! Bringing in so many different kinds of animals by just killing a few, sounds bad but is actually not.
Who knew that wolves could do so much for our ecosystem?! I think this is truly amazing.
The video was really cool. It was fun to see everything be connected and change, thanks to the wolves. It’s like how we each have our strengths and weaknesses.
Wow! When I first saw this video in the beginning I thought this would be a documentary about wolves. But it was more than that! I can’t believe that wolves can change the ecosystem in Yellow Stone National Park! I now really want to go there. GO WOLVES!
In 5th grade, we make blankets for people who were homeless. It was really fun! We also raised money for people who have no homes and food.
WOW this was an amazing video. I never expected wolves to do that much! The process must have taken a long time though.
I have never realized how much could change from just one species, especially wolves! I never really thought of them as an important animal but now that I have seen this video I see that every animal has an important job. This was a very interesting video and I learned A LOT!!
Aw that’s so cool! It’s nice to see how much animals do to our world and how their habitat is different from our environment!
It is truly amazing how the wolves interacted with the environment and the other animals to make Yellow Stone National Park a better place. As you can see, the wolves also attracted other animals, and had to kill some animals to balance out everything. I never thought that wolves could do such magnificent things. This definitely relates to how every person has a special job to keep the Earth nice and tidy.
I think that this video was really cool! It is amazing that a small population of wolves changed that much! I t formed new life and controlled the overflow of species. It was really cool.
I love how the video doesn’t just say that the wolves just killed off animals. They went in to detail, they gave examples, and they even explained what was happening. The decision to put the wolves back was very well thought out, planned, and executed. I hope that that more places can have ideas like this.
I’m not saying that they should put wolves everywhere, but our society today should be working on ways to clean up and improve places like parks buildings. Overall I thought this video was very interesting and smart.
I didn’t know wolves created so many good contributions to the world. I found it really interesting and cool. Also, I think they deserve more credit for what they do.
I never knew that wolves were that important to the environment. Its amazing how they brought different species of animals
I definitely thought wrong about wolfs!!
his surprised me in so many ways. Who knew that wolves could affect the rivers!
This*
I think that its amazing on how everything is connected. We learned this in science last year, we had to make a diagram on how that the food chain and how its all connected.
that video was really cute i will think about things in nature different now!
I think it was neat that you used a video for your blog instead of just words.
