Comments and Connections!
Week 2: Let’s Comment!
Last Thursday and Friday, we got busy connecting with other students by commenting on their blogs, especially Ms. Wellington’s class in New Zealand! First, we reviewed commenting guidelines especially regarding quality, positivity, and safety. Then we were ready to read blog posts of students who were 8728 miles away and 17 hours ahead of us!
After that, we compiled a list of questions for students in different countries. We’d love to hear responses to our questions!

Hi Eagles Wordsmiths
Love your questions!
Naeem and Aviv – I live in Australia. It would depend on where your school is as to whether you would see kangaroos. For example, there are locations in my city (Perth) where kangaroos live because we have areas of natural bush land within the city. As the city grew the suburbs trapped the kangaroos inside these areas. We have warning signs on our freeway if you drive near an area with a kangaroo population warning you to watch out for them. If you live in a school near one of these locations you might see the kangaroos or they might visit your school as they look for grass to eat.
Students in country locations are more likely to see kangaroos from their school as there is higher populations of kangaroos where they live.
Would you like to see some of my photos and videos of Kangaroos?
Perhaps you would like to work out where in Australia I live? Here are some clues. 1) The Black Swan is on our coat of arms. 2) I live in the second most isolated Capital city in the World and in the largest State in Australia.
